Mixtape Cover Art Concepts

As the resurgence in audio cassette culture continues, I started playing around with a series of cassette J-cards (those foldable cardstock pieces of cover art that tuck into the plastic cases). These were more studies in layering and texture, as well as playing around with different color palettes for different genres (punk, metal, goth, electronic, etc).
The above mixtape, Closed For The Season, is an actual short mix I put together, downloadable at an undisclosed location for friends of mine. The rest of these pieces are simply spec work, and any of them could be retooled to include any band.
